Teresa "Teri" Smith Obituary

Teresa N. “Teri” Smith, 69, of Reedsville, passed away at 8:36 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born June 27, 1954, in Milroy, she was a daughter of the late Jay and Beatrice (Wagner) Deamer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Yetter.

Teri is survived by: companion, Sid Kaegel; daughters, Danie Heimbach and husband, Clint, of Milroy, and Haley Skaer and husband, Erik, of Nokesville, Va.; grandchildren, Tallon and Ryder Heimbach, and Zane and Cullen Skaer; and siblings, Charlie Riden and wife, Sally, Rodney “Fizz” Riden and wife, Brenda, and Carol Zook, all of Reedsville, Wayne Riden, of Milroy, and Barry Deamer and wife, Bonnie, of Lewistown.

Teri was a graduate of Penn Highlands High School, Chief Logan Campus, Class of 1972.

She was a member of Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church.

In her earlier years, Teri was employed by General Electric and at Glick’s Shoe Store.  She obtained her realtor’s license and worked for multiple companies since 1987, lastly for Smeltz & Aumiller Real Estate in Lewistown.

Teri enjoyed traveling and photography.  She was an amazing person who was loved by so many, and was the best mom, grandmother, sister, and friend.  Teri will be terribly missed.  Her contagious laugh and incredible energy brightened so many days and brought love and light to everyone she met.  Teri lived her life and loved like Jesus and is now rejoicing in Heaven and watching over us all.

A Celebration of Life event will be held at a later date.
